The River

Hola my friend!

Today was a memorable day loaded with wonderful interactions. I went to attend a book release ceremony in Nungambakkam. The journey was splendid.

Let me share a glimpse of my lovely travel. First off, by coincidence, I met my dear friend in the railway station. Following that me and my friends - Lekha and Catherine started off by Train to Nungambakkam.  The train journey was pleasant and melancholic with the tinge of raw mango and pineapple. We then headed off to Park Hotel where Sabari anna joined us.

The book release ceremony started off with a delicious buffee. After filling up with delicacies, the ceremony began and the book "Hidden Agendas" authored by Ajit and Anil was released. Before the ceremony and even after it, we, the small bunch that headed off from MCC, met a varied mass of great people. There were great writers, publishers, directors and actors amidst us. It was a privilege to meet and interact with each one of them. In addition, we the newbies of MCC got to meet the old goldies, our great aluminee from MCC. Sabari anna connected with one of the Selaiyurians and eventually ended up chanting the Selaiyur Hall Anthem. And that's how the love and honour to our college, linked each one of us together.

A river flows
To the core,
Brimming with joy,
Memory and lore.
O, how the goldies
Link with the newbies,
With a gushing spirit
Of warmth and delight
Rebounding back home.
That's the power,
And river of life,
Look back - it's MCC.

By the end of the day, I got to meet great people. Be it Prem sir who invited us to the meeting or Subha mam who treated us like her own children feeding us with a lot of knowledge or the great authors who showered us with warm welcome and aspiring advice. I got to understand that great people continue to grow bigger with a humble behavior, and I personally felt it alive during the meeting.

In addition, I had my first experience on Metro. Woah! I was really thrilled to travel above the city... hehe^^. And also I got to have a handful of lovely conversation with my pals. In particular, I met another great senior, Sabari anna from BBA. With his lovely and humble behavior added on with a big smile, he made sure to make his juniors feel comfortable and chill. He also shared his inspiring journey to the US with me. And that's the end of a day filled with love and happiness:)

Happy reading! Adios:)
