On Duty?
Hola my friend!
Never have I ever had a 24-hr day trip... And finally... Today I did! Haha my journey got adventurous once again.
Morning, I woke up to the suprise that the train hasn't moved for 3 hours... Yet another 2 hours passed by and still there wasn't any movement because water had blocked the railroads. All the passengers from toddlers to adults were stuck in some deserted place with no food and water:(
However, after hours of roving in the jeopardized situation, we managed to get on a bus. And that's when something else caught my attention. People from the village started to protest proclaiming the truth that... The constant showers had left them with no food, water nor electricity for the past 3 days. Although, the protest didn't last long and the traffic dissolved after a while, I couldn't get over the cries of the people. The news in all its fancy, never captured the real suffering of the people unless they are left in a threat. And I guess, this must change!
Sirens on
Attention off,
What differs?
If you're in power.
Feeble tremble
Cozy grumble,
Over reality
When voiced loud.
Oh, when will the sun rise?
And people act nice,
Over the hangry race
With no power, but gaze.
Our textbooks hold the glory of the Government, which serves people in the right manner. It potrays the place as a heaven for people to live. But is it? I don't think so. Be it the roadways or the railways, we see so many precautionary actions being taken to prevent the cause. But, reality is bitter! Nothing really is taken into consideration until left in a life threat! I don't blame the authoritative people in power, but their kind of management and inspection. If the drainages were maintained properly, none of the water related problems would have occured and disrupted the everyday life of the public. I wish that the maintanance is done effectively and consistently without procrastination and that officials look after implementing their orders into action. It's necessary that we voice out to solve our everyday problems, because little changes can make a better tomorrow!
Happy reading! Adios:)
