At last:)

Hola my friend!

Today was indeed a tiring but still happy day. I got to participate in Woodstock. I'm proud of myself since I took part in 5 events - Slam Poetry, Creative Writing, Potpourri, Solo Dance and Vocabulary Games. 

It was my first time participating in Slam Poetry. With the help of Joshua Mahima anna and Hementh anna... I got to learn to recite poem dramatically. I recited Joshua Anna's original poem "Greater Purpose". It is a beautifully written poem about the redemption of man.

"Tears blinding my senses as I glimpse
At my own hands. Yours intertwined in mine,
They held me calm, wiped my tears,
Quenched my thirst, made me whole." -Mahima

Later I took part in creative writing. My writers block is on it's extreme! I couldn't think of anything and simply blabbered a simple scene with no interest. After that, Potpourri started. I drew for Pictionary. Pictionary was quite hard... I was given 12 movie names I haven't heard of! Anyways I gave my 100% to draw it... My teammates - Kavin and Lekhaa couldn't neither find it out. And that's how we lost one event. Mahima anna, Timeus anna and Hementh anna also took part in Potpourri... But sadly lost in the second round. Mahima anna said that the taboo words were tough. After this, I ran to Solo Dance. I was really nervous since I was the first slot. The dance was a flop... I lost conscience of the steps. I barely remembered the main iconic steps which made the dance simply boring. My performance was horrible. Anyways, i mustered up courage to overcome the distress, and went to the next event. Vocabulary games was very simple and chill. Although me and Lekhaa waited for a long time (we were sleepy), the wait was worth it! First round, Word Wizard... We were asked to write sub-words from "DISCOMBOBULATE". We wrote nearly 14 words. Second round, Picture guess... Lekhaa found the answer as soon as she saw it "SHAKESPEARE". The final round was, Wordle where we had to guess a 5-lettered word related to the theme "The times they are changing". I found the word "STAGE" with Lekhaa's help in the fourth try. After the events got over, me and Lekhaa walked over (we were really tired) again, to the Main Gate. On the way, we happened to eat yummy Shawarma. It was a really fun time talking to Lekhaa. She's actually a good soul... Really good one:) She used to have an attitude but I've noticed her behave down to Earth these days... Kudos to her! 

Finally, the valedictory started at 6. I won first in slam poetry and vocabulary games. Praise the Lord:) I'm really really happy... I feel like it's a victory I've gained after a very long time. I'm really pleased and am completely happy. Words cannot describe the calmness I feel within. By the abundant grace of God, the department won the overall championship of Woodstock 2K25. And that's how my beautiful day came to an end. Although I've given a very short description of my day because I'm completely drained (it's only 8:55 and i desperately want to sleep), i 100% believe that I've portrayed my happiness through it. Hola my friend! 2025 started just now and it's already the last day of the first month. This month has taught me a lot and has also trained me in divine faith.  My main takeaway from January 2025 is self-confidence. At many insticts i doubt my own capabilities. But, this month has led me to muster up courage and try on new challenges. I got myself involved in various college and Church events and explored a new environment all together. In addition, I also used the platform to volunteer for various programs which has led me become a patient observer. The River

Hola my friend! Today was a memorable day loaded with wonderful interactions. I went to attend a book release ceremony in Nungambakkam. The journey was splendid. Let me share a glimpse of my lovely travel. First off, by coincidence, I met my dear friend in the railway station. Following that me and my friends - Lekha and Catherine started off by Train to Nungambakkam.  The train journey was pleasant and melancholic with the tinge of raw mango and pineapple. We then headed off to Park Hotel where Sabari anna joined us. The book release ceremony started off with a delicious buffee. After filling up with delicacies, the ceremony began and the book "Hidden Agendas" authored by Ajit and Anil was released. Before the ceremony and even after it, we, the small bunch that headed off from MCC, met a varied mass of great people. There were great writers, publishers, directors and actors amidst us.
