Kids:)

Hola my friend!

Today was yet another beautiful day with the kids:)

The Service Learning Program team marched forward for the second session today. The entire team had to rush after class to reach MCC RSL School. 8 of us travelled together in a share auto which was indeed fun and exciting!

As soon as we got there, the kids were separated into teams as usual. This time, I was the mentor of Team 8. The kids who were alloted to me were super sweet and attentive. I narrated the story of the six blind men who touch and elephant and interpret various objects. The story had a very strong moral as to never judge people by their unique perspective. For with unity comes integrity, understanding and peace. Throughout the story, the kids were excited as to what was next! They learned 9 new Vocabulary words: Elephant, Blind Man, Wall, Rope, Snake, Spear, Tree, Fan and Wisdom. After a beautiful interactive story session, I progressed with the Madlibs game. I was able to teach the kids ADJECTIVES. It was super fun to hear various names, places, food items and adjectives from them. Indeed, I wasn't able to complete the entire activity due to time constraint, but promised the kids to continue it during the following week. I was very happy about how the session turned out today! It was super fun to see the kids competing, trying and pronouncing various English words to achieve the small star stickers (the team's encouraging small gift to boost up the kids).

As the afternoon drew to an end, we all left home with happy faces. We did spend some time to grab a drink and know each other even more. The team not only grew professionally, but personally as well! It was a happy border-less quality time spent together! Overall, SLP Day 2 was a success:)

Happy reading! Adios:)
