Opened!

Hola my friend!

A few days back, as I was strolling my way down the campus on my way home, I felt something phenomenal. Let me tell you the story...

The day was tiring, and the sun was scorching all throughout. There was no means of escaping the heat of the day despite the cold lime soda I had. No word of assurance nor moment could bring back the josh I lost in the weather. By the time I dragged myself out of college, I was already half dead. I just wanted to teleport to my bed and lock myself away from the world.

Alas, teleportation isn't a thing yet. So, I took out my favorite AirPods to relieve myself from the irritability that I was going through, simply to give me the strength to drag myself back home. Spotify played music on its own. Just phenomenal... simply ecstatic! A gentle flow of rhythm caressed my ears. A voice so gentle, so sweet, so young with simple, direct lyrics that pierced through my tiresome heart. It was none other than "Pudhu Pudhu Payaname" by Sai Prashob.

I was completely alone in the woods as I was walked with my AirPods on. Just imagine, the soothing effect of the song with the woods cherishing its demeanour. Although the music was playing only in my ears, it felt as if the woods were dancing to it and nodding along to the pleasure of the lyrics. Surprisingly, the sky darkened too! The heat was no more! It felt as if the song appeared out of nowhere to break me free from the uncomforting truths of the day. The relief I felt was insane. Indeed, I was filled with smiles all over again. Music once again, delivered me from the clutches of the hasty world and made me breath.

The wrath drenched me,
A hotness I cannot feed.
The circle was too cold;
It made me lose my bold.
I simply wanted to stop,
I feared to leap and hop
And embrace my only heart.
The dust, the heat, and the sweat
Wrangled me in despair, but
Couldn't stop me from hearing you.
A song so sweet,
With a million treats,
My soul found space
To rest in solace.
It was through you,
That my eyes opened again.

A huge shoutout to Sai Prashob for making me pause and admire the beauty of life. It would be a sin if I didn't quote the lyrics for you....
"சில காலம் பூ மீது
சில காலம் முள் மீது
வரும் பாதை கனவோடு
எதிர்பார்த்து நடைபோடு

வாழ்க்கையே ஒரு வானமே
வாழ்ந்துப் பார், அது போதுமே
இனி வரும் காலம்
புதுப் புதுப் பயணமே."

It is, my friend, very true that we miss out on the most beautiful moments in life by simply overshadowing them with the current despair that torments us. The song beautifully portrays how life is sometimes a bed of roses, sometimes a path of thorns, but despite all that, walk forward with our dreams set high. A branch may fall but naturally regrows; a bamboo may break but can be used to make the majestic instrument - the flute.

Likewise, your time will also come, until then strive harder in the vast expanse of life. Live life; that's enough! New journeys will follow!

Happy reading! Adios:)
